Remixpoint Bitcoin Strategy: Company Sells Altcoins
Japan-listed Remixpoint changes its Remixpoint Bitcoin strategy by selling ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE and concentrating its crypto holdings on Bitcoin.
Remixpoint Sells ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE as Bitcoin Becomes Its Sole Crypto Holding
Japanese-listed Remixpoint has changed the way it manages its cryptocurrency holdings after selling its positions in Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP and Dogecoin (DOGE).
The company said the four altcoins were sold on September 1, 2026, leaving Bitcoin as its only remaining cryptocurrency. The move marks a clear change in Remixpoint Bitcoin strategy, with the company choosing to concentrate its cryptocurrency holdings on Bitcoin.
Remixpoint Makes Gains on Most Altcoin Sales
The sales were profitable for most of the assets.
Ethereum generated a gain of about $379,000, while Solana added roughly $311,000. The company also made around $72,000 from its XRP position.
Dogecoin was the only one of the four to post a loss. Remixpoint sold around 2.8 million DOGE for approximately $234,000. Based on the company's book value at the beginning of its fiscal year, the position was about $21,000 lower.
Overall, the four sales produced a net gain of roughly $742,000.
The DOGE figure should not be interpreted as a loss compared with the original purchase price. Remixpoint's disclosure measures the result against the carrying value of the position at the start of its current fiscal year.
Why Remixpoint Is Focusing on Bitcoin
Remixpoint said it reviewed market conditions and the risk-return characteristics of its crypto holdings before deciding to sell the four altcoins.
The company had previously held several major cryptocurrencies, but its latest move reduces that exposure significantly. Instead of keeping positions in ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE, Remixpoint is now putting its cryptocurrency holdings behind Bitcoin.
That gives the company a much more concentrated crypto portfolio than it had before.
The decision is also consistent with a growing preference among some companies to use Bitcoin as their main digital-asset holding rather than spreading capital across a larger number of tokens.
Bitcoin Is Now Remixpoint's Main Crypto Asset
Remixpoint still holds more than 1,500 BTC.
At recent market prices, those holdings are worth more than $100 million, making Bitcoin by far the most important cryptocurrency in the company's portfolio.
The latest transactions therefore look less like a complete exit from crypto and more like a decision to simplify the company's holdings.
For Remixpoint, the Bitcoin strategy now depends much more directly on the performance of BTC. A large move in Bitcoin's price could have a noticeable effect on the value of the company's cryptocurrency assets.
What Happened to DOGE, ETH, SOL and XRP?
The decision to sell the four altcoins does not necessarily mean Remixpoint expects their prices to fall.
Companies can sell digital assets for many reasons, including changes in investment strategy, risk tolerance or expectations about future returns.
In its disclosure, Remixpoint pointed to market conditions and the risk-return characteristics of the assets when explaining the decision.
The results of the transactions were mixed. ETH, SOL and XRP were sold at gains, while DOGE was sold below its fiscal-year opening book value.
For investors watching corporate cryptocurrency holdings, the more notable part of the announcement is the change in allocation. Remixpoint has moved from holding several large cryptocurrencies to keeping Bitcoin as its only remaining crypto asset.
A More Concentrated Crypto Portfolio
The latest sales have left Remixpoint with a much simpler cryptocurrency portfolio.
The company has reduced its exposure to Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Dogecoin and is now concentrating on Bitcoin.
That approach can make the portfolio easier to manage, but it also means the company is more dependent on Bitcoin's future performance.
With more than 1,500 BTC still on its balance sheet, Remixpoint remains a significant corporate Bitcoin holder. The value of those assets will continue to rise or fall with the cryptocurrency market.
The company has now made its position clear: rather than maintaining a broad group of major altcoins, it is choosing Bitcoin as the center of its cryptocurrency holdings.
